RV College of Engineering: KCET vs COMEDK vs Management Quota
Which route actually fits your rank, budget and timeline? A direct comparison of RVCE’s three admission paths.
Which Route Fits You?
A Common Misconception
Management quota is often described as “direct admission” or “no rank required,” which isn’t accurate at RVCE. A valid KCET, COMEDK or JEE Main scorecard is still required — the difference is that RVCE, not KEA or COMEDK, decides who gets the seat, and pricing is set by the college rather than the government fee schedule.
Can You Pursue More Than One Route?
Yes, and this is generally the smart approach. Register for KCET and COMEDK, participate in both counselling processes, and simultaneously enquire about management quota as a backup. Once you have a confirmed seat you’re happy with, formally withdraw from the others — just be aware of any booking-amount forfeiture rules on the management route before you pay.
Call us with your specific KCET/COMEDK rank — we’ll give you an honest read on which route, if any, gets you into RVCE for your target branch.
