RV College of Engineering Management Quota Admission 2026

Autonomous, NAAC A+, and the highest-ranked of the four colleges on this site. Here’s exactly how eligibility, seats, fees and admission work for the 2026 cycle.

About RV College of Engineering

RV College of Engineering (RVCE) was established in 1963 by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST), a not-for-profit educational trust. The college is located on Mysore Road, RR Nagar, Bengaluru, on a 16.85-acre campus with its own adjacent metro station.

RVCE is one of the oldest and most respected private engineering colleges in India, and is consistently the top performer among the four colleges featured on this site — both in rankings and in placement outcomes.

RVCE ranked 99th in NIRF Engineering 2024 with a score of 44.26 — the highest rank of the four colleges on this site. The 2025 NIRF cycle showed RVCE in a 101–150 band rather than a precise rank, illustrating how these rankings shift year to year. Courses & Branches Offered

RVCE offers 15 undergraduate B.E. programmes across traditional and emerging disciplines, with a total annual intake of approximately 1,400 students:

Computer Science (CSE)
Information Science (ISE)
Electronics & Communication
AI & Machine Learning
CSE – Cyber Security
CSE – Data Science
Electrical & Electronics
Mechanical Engineering
Aerospace Engineering
Biotechnology
Civil Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Industrial Engineering & Management
Electronics & Telecommunication (ETE)

Call us for the current full list and exact per-branch intake, as RVCE periodically adjusts its programme offerings.

Seat Matrix & Management Quota

RVCE’s seats follow the same statewide structure as every private engineering college in Karnataka:

Category Share Allocated Through
Government / CET~45%KEA (KCET rank)
COMEDK~30%COMEDK UGET counselling
Management & NRI~25%Direct to RSST Trust Office

Of roughly 1,400 total UG seats, approximately 350 fall under the management/NRI category — but availability varies sharply by branch. Computer Science, ISE and AI & ML are highly competitive and often have few or no institutional seats remaining after the government and COMEDK rounds; core branches such as Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Aerospace and Biotechnology are more likely to have openings. Call us to confirm current-year availability in your target branch.

Admission Process for Management Quota

1
Contact the RSST Trust Office
Applications are accepted directly by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust, typically March through July, peaking after entrance results.
2
Eligibility Verification
RVCE checks your PUC subject combination, minimum aggregate, and your KCET/COMEDK scorecard.
3
Document Submission
Formal application with the full document set is submitted to the trust office, following RVCE’s annual admission circular.
4
Provisional Allotment
On successful verification, RVCE issues a provisional admission letter confirming branch and category.
5
Fee Payment
Paid directly to RVCE or the RSST trust office by demand draft or bank transfer, against an official receipt.
6
Final Confirmation
Once fees clear, RVCE issues final seat confirmation and class registration details.

KCET 2026 is expected around April 23–24 with results June 6; COMEDK UGET 2026 around May 9 with results May 29. Management enquiries typically run March–July, and classes generally begin the first week of August. Call us for confirmed 2026 dates, as KEA and COMEDK can shift schedules with short notice.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Pass in 2nd PUC / Class 12 or equivalent, with Physics and Mathematics compulsory plus one optional subject (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Electronics)
  • Minimum 45% aggregate (general category), 40% for SC/ST/OBC Karnataka categories
  • English as a language subject in the qualifying examination
  • Valid KCET / COMEDK / JEE Main score required even for management-route seats
  • No Karnataka domicile requirement for management/NRI seats — open to students from any state and NRI candidates

Eligibility norms are set by AICTE, VTU and RVCE itself under its autonomous status, and are revised periodically. Call us for the current 2026 criteria before assuming any figure here still applies.

Fee Structure

KCET (Government Quota)
Tuition around ₹83,526/year (2024-25 data). With other institutional charges, total annual fees typically run ₹1.5–1.6 lakh/year.
COMEDK
Tuition around ₹2,21,960/year (2024-25 data). Total annual fees including all charges typically run ₹3–3.5 lakh.
⚠️ Management Quota (Indicative Only)
Branch-dependent, roughly ₹25–30 lakh (4-year total, core branches like Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Aerospace, Biotechnology) up to ₹70–75 lakh (4-year total, CSE) based on aggregator estimates — not official RVCE-published figures. RVCE does not publish a comprehensive branch-wise management fee table on its public website. The Government of Karnataka approved a 7.5% fee hike for private engineering colleges for 2025-26, so all figures above have likely moved.
Call us for RVCE’s confirmed 2026-27 fee structure before committing any money.

All fees must be paid directly to RVCE or the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust by demand draft or bank transfer, against an official receipt. Never pay a consultant who asks to collect college fees on your behalf.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is RVCE autonomous? What does that mean for admissions?

Yes, RVCE has held autonomous status since 2014, with the current UGC grant running through 2033-34. This lets RVCE set its own examination schedule and curriculum — it does not mean admission is easier or that entrance exam requirements are waived.

Can I get a management quota seat at RVCE in Computer Science?

CSE is RVCE’s most competitive branch, and institutional seats are extremely limited — often none remain after the government and COMEDK rounds. Have backup options in ISE or other branches, and call us to assess current availability.

Does RVCE accept JEE Main scores for management quota?

RVCE typically works with KCET and COMEDK scores for management quota. JEE Main is not regularly listed as an accepted route — call us to confirm the current position for 2026.

What is the minimum rank required for a management quota seat?

There is no published minimum-rank cutoff for RVCE’s institutional seats — applications are considered on merit, but a valid entrance score is still required. Call us with your specific score for a realistic assessment.

Can I change my branch after joining RVCE?

Branch change is governed by RVCE’s own autonomous regulations and is normally possible only at the end of the first year, subject to a GPA threshold and vacancy. It should never be assumed as a fallback plan.
